Influences come from field sketching, botanical study, and the kind of everyday observation that rewards repeat viewings.

Across the body of work, the paintings present quiet, accessible moments — pieces that reveal themselves slowly and fit naturally into lived spaces. If a painting can make someone pause for a breath during a busy day, then it has done what I set out to do.
